hello all! i hope you have enjoyed your galactic journey through my glitch site thus far.
i have come to realize that you do not know much about me, so the time has come to share a bit of myself.

my name is nova, and i am a space oddity visiting earth from my home planet. explaining exactly who I am and where i come from is quite difficult to do in this foreign tongue, so i have decided that i will show you instead! back home, a personalized daggger is an important part of one's identity. my beloved dagger was unfortunately left behind on my journey to earth, so i have made my own out of materials found here. humans have been so kind to me sharing all their gadgets and gizmos, and i want to return the favor. below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to make a dagger of your own, along with just a few of the new ways i have found my dagger to be useful in this fascinatingly mundane world.

┫ .step one ┣

gather the following materials

ruler, metal strip, air-dry clay, thin copper wire, hammer, pliers, scissors, utility knife, ink pen and sharpie, strong glue, and crystals

┫ .step two ┣

use your ruler and sharpie to measure and mark the top center of the strip. then mark two inches down from the top of the strip

┫ .step three ┣

use your utility knife and ruler to lightly score the metal from the top of the strip to each mark on the side. then use the scissors to cut the metal on both sides. i would suggest sanding each side (and the top point) after you cut them to get rid of any sharp edges, and use the hammer to reshape the metal should it warp while you are cutting it.

┫ .step four ┣

once both sides are cut and sanded, take your air-dry clay and start forming the hilt and handle of the blade. you may need to use water to keep the clay moist, and thin tools like a pencil to carve in a design. this can be done in any shape and style that you want. have fun with this part! let the clay dry for about 24 hrs.

┫ .step five ┣

once the clay has dried, gather any crystals you may want to use and start gluing them on. i used wood glue, but a hot-glue gun would work as well. you could also place the crystals into the clay before it dries, if you so desire. after the glue has dried, take your ink pen and draw whatever design you want onto the clay. lastly, wrap your copper wire around the handle.

what can you do with this dagger, you might ask? inquire within...
